Tea Time
My lovely friend Meredith has this fabulous little tea cup collection. She wanted to do a shoot with the tea cups somehow, so we drafted up the concept of the World War II wife reading her newest letter from her deployed spouse overseas.
Besides the tea cup collection, Meredith is also a connoisseur of pinup/rockabilly/retro wear. Her wardrobe is a step back into a time when our world was a different place; when tv's only had 3 channels (and you had to get up to change it!), our devices didn't own us, and perceptions could not contain us. This time frame had its own limitations, drawbacks, and benefits. As a twenty-something, I can only look back and wish that I had known my grandparents in their time. Shooting this concept helped me reflect on a world far different from my own.
